Hotels in Bodrum Turkey

As befits a thriving tourist destination, Bodrum has plenty of different places to stay. The one thing they all have in common is that they're very good value compared to UK prices.

Cheap hotels and hostels:
If you're looking for the cheap and well-maintained accommodation in Bodrum, don't rule out the area's hostels. Although the term "youth hostel" often conjures up visions of uncomfortable bunks, many modern hostels are really just good-value hotels by another name. For example, the Ece Resort, about fourteen miles from the city centre, has scenic surroundings near the beach, its own swimming pool and its own restaurant. Prices start at about £25.00 per person per night for a double room with its own en-suite bathroom.

However, if you're looking for the classic youth hostel experience, you'll have to go to Bodrum Backpackers in the town centre. It has the modern hostel accoutrements such as a pool table, two bars and a place for watching sports on the big screen. Choose between a dormitory-style room and a private room. Dorm prices start at around £7.00 per person per night, while you can get a twin private room for less than £10.00 per person per night.

Mid-Range Hotels
Moving into the mid-priced range, there's no shortage of three-star hotels in Bodrum. The Delfi Hotel is one of the more conveniently located options, as it's in the city centre and yet only a few hundred metres from the beach. All rooms look over the swimming pool. Even better, it's possible to get a room for approximately £10.00 per person per night per person per night if you book at the right time.

Luxury Hotels
For five-star luxury, try the Karia Princess Hotel. This has all the accoutrements you'd expect from a five-star place, including a tennis court, swimming pool (with bar) and choice of restaurants. But what makes this special (and uniquely Turkish) is the Turkish bath, the biggest for miles around. Steam yourself local-style before cooling off in the pool or heading for a massage. Prices start at around £40.00 per person per night - stunningly cheap by Western European standards, and you still get your own balcony.
