The official tourist guide is hands-down the best site on Rhodes. In fact, it's crammed with so much information that there's really no need to visit anywhere else. For starters there's and in-depth history of the city; which manages to remain digestible, despite its scope. Although most visitors will doubtless head straight for the City Guide. As well as a useful interactive map, which takes you to potted descriptions and photographs of the city's main attractions, you also find the capital broken down into the New Town and the Old Town.

The city has enough to keep any visitor busy for a couple of days; from ancient temples and medieval castles to more contemporary attractions such as the city aquarium. Not to mention the restaurants, bars and souvenir hunting opportunities.
